Located in a 10,000 square-foot climate-controlled warehouse, ArtWorks San Diego offers museum-quality storage services designed to meet the needs of collectors, galleries and museums from all of San Diego County. Tilt-up concrete wall construction, UL-Certified central station fire and burglar alarm systems, a state-of-the-art fire suppression system and 24-hour armed response all ensure that valuable works will remain secure.

Installation & Shipping Services
ArtWorks San Diego also offers transportation and Installation services for both residential and commercial clients. . All truck shipments are via specialized art trucks, with full climate control, air-ride suspension and GPS monitoring. A bi-weekly shuttle between San Diego and Los Angeles offers an inexpensive means of transporting works throughout San Diego, Orange and Los Angeles Counties. In addition, we offer exclusive-use pick ups and deliveries to and from LAX for high value and oversized art works. Each of our trucks provides ample room for couriers and passengers. Residential and commercial installation and rigging services also are offered, with our museum-trained art handlers utilizing the most contemporary art hanging systems.

ArtWorks San Diego was established by Wendell Eckholm, whose fifteen years as general manager of Cooke's Crating in Los Angeles has given him an extensive knowledge of fine art handling and storage, and by Chuck Betlach, a private collector of contemporary works and avid supporter of the museum community. Mr. Betlach currently is on the board of directors of the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego. ArtWorks San Diego offers personalized and professional service to the most discriminating clients. Whether it is the installation of an entire household of treasured art works and antiques or the arranging for the safe shipping and delivery of a work just purchased at auction, ArtWorks San Diego is here to serve the needs of the collector and the art collection.
